Most fractures related to osteoporosis don't happen because bones suddenly become weak—they happen because of a fall.
Join us for our next Better Bones Coffee Meet-Up as we explore one of the most important topics in bone health: fall prevention.
During this interactive workshop, you'll learn how three often-overlooked physical qualities—power, balance, and stability—play a critical role in helping you stay upright, active, and independent as you age.
We'll discuss:
Why falls are the leading cause of osteoporotic fractures
The difference between strength, power, balance, and stability
What the research says about reducing fall risk
Practical strategies to improve confidence and movement in everyday life
This session will also include a light learn-by-doing component, giving you the opportunity to safely experience and practice a few simple drills that can help improve balance, reaction time, and body control.

Better Bones Coffee Meet-Up: What Actually Improves Bone Density
Serve yourself a cup of coffee and join us for the first Better Bones Coffee Meet-Up—a free educational workshop series focused on helping adults/seniors stay strong, active, and independent through better movement, bone health, and healthy aging.
This month we're discussing a question many people ask after being diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis:
What actually improves bone density?
There is a lot of confusing information surrounding bone health and exercise. Many people are told to simply walk more or avoid certain movements altogether, but what does the research actually say? During this workshop, we'll simplify the science and discuss practical exercise strategies that can help support stronger bones, improve confidence, and promote long-term health.
During this workshop, we'll cover:
Common myths surrounding osteoporosis, exercise, and bone density
Why walking and light exercise alone may not be enough
What "loading" means and how bones respond to exercise
Demonstrations of movements and exercises that help stimulate bone
Whether you've been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, have concerns about bone health, or simply want to learn how to stay strong as you age, this workshop is designed for you.
No workout clothes are required and no exercise experience is necessary. Just bring your questions, enjoy a cup of coffee, and leave with practical information you can begin using right away.
Space is limited and registration is required. Reserve your spot today.
