Are your knees holding your running back?
Whether you're training for your first 5K, preparing for a marathon, or simply enjoy running to stay healthy, knee pain is one of the most common injuries runners experience. In fact, research suggests that up to half of all runners experience an injury each year, with the knee consistently ranking as the most frequently injured area. Conditions like runner's knee (patellofemoral pain syndrome), IT band syndrome, and patella tendinopathy often develop gradually as training volume increases.
The good news? Most running-related knee pain is preventable and highly treatable when you understand what's causing it.
Instead of guessing, resting for weeks, or hoping the pain disappears, learn what your knees actually need to stay healthy so you can continue running with confidence.
Join Doctor of Physical Therapy Kaela Frailing for an interactive workshop designed specifically for runners who:
Have dealt with knee pain in the past
Notice aches as they increase mileage
Are training for an upcoming race
Want to prevent injuries before they happen
Simply want to become stronger and more resilient runners
What You'll Learn
During this workshop, Kaela will cover:
The anatomy of the knee and how it functions during running
The most common causes of running-related knee pain
Why knee pain often isn't just a "knee problem"
Simple strength and mobility exercises that help build healthier, more resilient knees
Practical injury prevention strategies you can immediately incorporate into your training
You'll leave with a better understanding of your body, practical exercises you can begin using right away, and greater confidence in keeping yourself healthy as your mileage grows.
