Our services include personal training, physical therapy, running coaching, and return-to-sport rehabilitation. Role Overview:
Pure Movement is seeking a Certified Personal Trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. This part-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others move better, feel stronger, and return safely to the activities they love. You’ll work one-on-one and in small group settings with motivated clients—many of whom are navigating prior injuries or health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality personal training sessions (1-on-1, semi-private, and small group)
Conduct consultations and functional movement assessments to guide program design
Create and implement personalized fitness programs aligned with client goals
Track client progress and make program modifications as needed
Educate and motivate clients in a supportive, professional environment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health and fitness professionals
Maintain a safe and welcoming training space
Qualifications:
Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, or equivalent – required)
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or related field (preferred)
Prior experience in personal training, coaching, or fitness instruction
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (required)
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:
Experience with small group training or semi-private sessions
An interest in working with active adults aged 40+
Knowledge of nutrition and its role in performance and recovery
A passion for movement quality, injury prevention, and lifelong fitness
A collaborative mindset and the desire to work closely with a multidisciplinary team including athletic trainers, physical therapists, massage therapists, and health coaches
A willingness to actively participate in team meetings, contribute to case discussions, and speak during in-house workshops or client education sessions
Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge to help build a supportive and educational culture
A creative and entrepreneurial approach to designing programs that meet the needs of our local community—including underserved or special populations—while also aligning with Pure Movement’s mission of personalized, purposeful care
