Meet Dr. Kaela Frailing: Personalized Physical Therapy at Pure Movement
At Pure Movement, we believe the best physical therapy starts by understanding the person—not just the injury. That's why we're excited to welcome Dr. Kaela Frailing, PT, DPT, to our team.
"My goal is to help people move with confidence, understand their bodies, and get back to doing the things they love." — Dr. Kaela Frailing
Kaela is passionate about helping people move with confidence, reduce pain, and get back to the activities that matter most. Whether you're preparing for motherhood, recovering after delivery, returning to running, or simply hoping to enjoy everyday life without pain, her goal is to create a treatment plan that fits your body, your goals, and your lifestyle.
Specialized Care for Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Injuries
Kaela has advanced training and experience in pelvic health physical therapy and enjoys working with individuals throughout pregnancy and the postpartum journey. She believes you shouldn't have to put your life on hold because of pain, leaking, pelvic pressure, or uncertainty about returning to exercise.
Whether your goal is to stay active throughout pregnancy, safely return to running after having a baby, or simply move through your day with greater comfort and confidence, Kaela provides individualized, one-on-one care designed around your unique needs.
In addition to pelvic health, she treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, including:
Low back pain
Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain
Neck pain
Running-related injuries
Hip, knee, and shoulder pain
Movement limitations that interfere with daily life or recreation
Rather than focusing solely on where pain occurs, Kaela takes a comprehensive, whole-body approach. She evaluates movement patterns, strength, mobility, and lifestyle factors to identify what's truly driving your symptoms, allowing treatment to address the root cause—not just provide temporary relief.
A Shared Philosophy
One of the reasons Kaela chose to join Pure Movement is our shared belief that movement is medicine.
Our goal isn't simply to help people feel better for a few weeks. We want to help them build strength, confidence, and resilience so they can continue doing the things they love for years to come. Every visit is one-on-one, allowing plenty of time to listen, educate, and develop a plan that's specific to each individual—not a diagnosis.
Whether physical therapy is the beginning of your recovery or part of a longer journey toward lifelong health, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Rooted in the Southwest Michigan Community
Kaela is a southwest Michigan native and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Western Michigan University. She loves serving the community she calls home and helping people of all ages stay active, healthy, and moving well.
As a former collegiate cross-country and track athlete, movement has always been an important part of her life. More recently, she's rediscovered the joy of running for fun and completed her first half marathon in Kalamazoo this past spring. Her personal experiences help her relate to runners and active adults working toward their own goals, whether that's crossing a finish line or simply enjoying life without pain.
When she's not in the clinic, Kaela enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner, Noah, and their adventurous yellow lab, Daxter. Whether they're camping, hiking, or exploring a new trail, Daxter is always ready for the next adventure. She's also an avid reader who will happily pick up just about any book you recommend—and every few months, she finds herself diving into a new hobby that may or may not end up as part of a growing collection in the closet. At home, they're also kept entertained by Salem, their four-year-old black cat, who has proven to be a little too skilled at escaping her harness to join them on outdoor adventures.
